DOES PATRIOTISM STILL MATTER?
By: SAI
Does Patriotism still matter? This got me thinking and it is a yes. When we got freedom, it was from our American Military. Patriotism is a freedom for our U.S. This word Patriotism reminds me of a lot of things. Americans that were in the war, wanted to help us and to make America in a better place.
Patriotism is a word that makes me give respect to the army and the military. The army and the military is what gave us our freedom. People who fought for us in the war is a hero. They did that for all the humans to be happy. This Patriotism is a way that we got liberty. Yes, Patriotism does matter and it will. Patriotism was something that helped us years and years ago. It helped us in lots and lots of wars. I am sure it still matters because it helped us in the past, and I know it can help us during the present and the future. In the future, if there are going to be any wars going on, I am sure Patriotism will be there to help us at any time we need help. When you say Patriotism, the most important thing that everyone remembers and thinks that is related to Patriotism is our American Flag, and our soldiers that fought in the war for us to have nice freedom and to win the war, when my friends and my parents sometimes talk about Patriotism or things like that, the thing I remember about it is the flag and the soldiers just like I told you the way most people remember. When we talk about the 13 colonies, that reminds me of the war and the other stuff like it. Patriotism still matter because it helped us from getting hard from the war.
Patriotism matters a lot to me!
Sai, your blog was awesome. There were no spelling errors. Also, your blog wasn't too long or too short. Great job.
ReplyDeleteSai, nice job posting this a day early! You definitely stayed on topic for this essay. Forgive me if I sound too harsh, but I find this the perfect example of writing an essay on a topic where you barely have any information and you basically say the same thing over and over again. Don't take this as harsh criticism, because in college, there were times that even I did the same thing. However, after reading through your essay, it appeared that you really didn't tell me too much, other than the fact that soldiers fought in wars, gave us freedom, and will continue to keep us free. As we read through other examples in class over the next few days, notice how the examples that I choose are ones that display concrete information on the topic, as opposed to broad general statements. It is only Wednesday night, so you still have time to revise this as an essay for Friday. I know you can do better!
ReplyDeleteI liked the way you began this blog.I think that you didn't need to add the last paragraph.Overall I think it was great.
