NJASK IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  With studying as a big part of your life, the NJASK has a big part of your schoolyear. With this grade that you get on the NJASK can help you get to be in level1 english and math, or honors in english and math. It is like the NJASK is the biggest thing in your school of New Jersey, the most complicated, the most personal, the most challenging, test of your lifetime in NJ. To have an easy test is always good because it shows that you know a lot in it and it also shows how much confidence you have in yourself that you can do well on it. But it is the takers decision to decide if it is supposed to be easy or not. As it is my opinion if it was easy or not, it was. But that is for many reasons. But the main master of all that reasons is, the keyword,   STUDY!!! Also with many other reasons I liked this NJASK because it was the starting NJASK of Middle School. But the main reason why I loved it was because of no homework, no studying, no writing other than a few minutes with small breaks, and a whole day of MOVIES! Also because we won't have it for another year. A lot of people take it very short. When you expand it by 365 days; 8,760 hours; 21,900 minutesand many extensions like that. But also the math was easy. The good part was that they gave us the shapes for geometry and the formula sheet for perimeter and area and other geogically math stuff like that. But this year's NJASK was easy. If the NJASK is easy, the NJASK can end up getting as easy as a quiz.

Surprise Speculative Writing

  Christmas has been a famous holiday that people celebrate. Jake and Emily look forword to Christmas. But with all the money loss that they got they can't afford a party. In their family, Christmas is a holiday they tried not to miss.
  "Christamas is coming next week and it's been a new year since we haven't celebrated it. Mom loves Christmas, but with the less money we have, we can't celebrate it." Emily said with a frowning face.
   As Jake is watching tv, he gets the idea of something. "How about we make Christmas?"
  "What do you mean Jake?" Asks Emily confused.
  "I mean we can get materials and make a surprise party for mom and dad. Lets give them a happy day. They work day and night for us, so lets do this for them."
  "Then where do we get the materials?" Asks Emily still confused.
  "How about.... lets go to Uncle Sal. Lets tell him the secret and maybe he can part of it. Maybe he can get us the materials too." Says Jake.
  As they were walking, they see Uncle Sal walking near the department store.
  "Uncle Sal!" Yell Jake ans Emily.
  "Hey guys! What are you guys doing here?" Asks Sal i  his grumpy voice.
  "I have a secret to tell you."

Qoute Essay

   Doing your best has always been giving the credit needed. Theodore Roosevelt has felt the same way be expressing it in a qoute, "Do what you can, with what you have, and where you are." (Theodore Roosevelt. Bieng the best of what you can do is what Theodore Rosevelt is trying to say in his qoute. When people try to do good like other people, but can't do it, they should try their best and it would be just as good.
   I used to always try to do something like others, but I couldn't go to the shop and buy what I needed. My dad was really sick to take me. So, I thought, why don't I do it what I can and be as creative as I can be. So I did my project for science, and a few days later, I get my grade and it is a 95. I did my best and earned the most I can for my work.
Martin Luther King Jr. is a leader that didn't stop. Even though poeple in the times of Martin Luther King, didn't like about him fighting for civil rights of both sides to be the same. As I have seen, most people I know didn't do their best on having what they can. But Martin Luther did. He used his speeches and facts to change everyones mind for civil rights. He didn't use any other material to chang them. Theodore Roosevelt's qoute has really helped us.
Doing your best is always the part that gives effort. With what you have and where you are, you can really get a lot of what you need. Dowhat you can, and do the best!

Persuasive Topic

As in schools we don't have very well specialized and fast computers and laptops so having the oppurtunity for the students to bring their very own laptops, would be better. If we were all able to bring the our lap[tops, the schools energy wouldn't be  used a lot. Also when students are getting computers, they don't get any fast computers. These reasons help me chose the idea of doing this.

School Uniforms

  “Personal liberty is the paramount essential to human dignity and human happiness.” (Bulwer) Liberty is essential for a human’s inference on uniforms.  If the government makes a law that all students need to wear uniforms, some people might like it, some people might not.  Two main reasons to not have that rule is because the students won’t have the freedom to wear what you want and for any religious reasons they won’t be able to wear anything other than uniforms. Having uniforms is not a good thing for most students, and shouldn’t be a law in any state.  When you are having law in your school that everyone needs to wear a uniform, some bad things in that choice are: the students will think it is weird to be the same, the student needed to wear anything special for any religious reason, they won’t be able to because all they would be able to wear are uniforms; and the students won’t have the freedom to wear what they want.

  “Only our individual faith in freedom can keep us free.”  (Dwight D. Eisenhower).  The students need freedom to wear what they want.  When students don’t wear what they want to wear, they won’t focus on school.  They will focus on how they look.  Also when they don’t get to wear what they want to school, they will feel better.  But, the opposition might say that it will be like that only for a little.  They’re wrong because even it will be for a little, they will still be really mad about it. Kids should actually have the freedom to wear whatever they want.

  “When we lose the right to be different, we lose the privilege to be free.” (Charks Evans Hughes, US Supreme Court Justice, 1925)  They will think it is weird to be the same. They will feel like they are all the same.  When they are all the same, everyone gets mixed up with one another.  The opposition might say like the feeling of being the same and getting mixed up will not be for long.  But they will still get mixed up, by everyone looking the same each day.  None of the kids like to be the same.

  “The unity of freedom has never relied on uniformity of opinion.” (John F. Kennedy).  When people have to wear something religious, you can’t because you have to wear uniforms.  When people like me, have to wear something special for religious reasons, they won’t be able to because it is important.  Also, the parents would get mad that their kid can’t wear anything religious, because of the uniforms.  They might think that not everyone is going to get mad, so it is ok.  But it isn’t ok because no one should disobey religious things.  In their religion, they will not want to let the religious thing get stopped by uniforms.

  Having uniforms is not a good decision to have for three main reasons.  The students will think it is dumb when you wear uniforms that make you look the same; you want to wear something religious for a holiday, but you can’t and we won’t have the freedom to wear what we want.  Each student wants to have freedom so don’t ruin it with uniforms!

My Commercial/Advertisement

My group's advertisement was recorded on Tuesday. I really thought my advertisement was good because, we had all the things that were included. Most things like the three claims, three persuasive techniques, a slogan, a headline, a statistic, and a counter argument +. This advertisement was also creative for the way my group had set the product of the commercial. We did it in a very unique and different way. I think that we had to work on some things about still memorizing the script so we won't feel nervous and won't think about what it was when our part comes for us to talk. But overall I thought we did a good job for such beginners. And we tried our best!!!

Convincing a TV Station

There are a plenty of advertisements and each one has their own speciality. I chose an advertisement about an m&m's commercial. It showed how it would be if you actually ate that thing. I will convince a Tv Station to buy or use this/my advertisement to put on with their commercials. This commercial iis a good commercial because it shows a funny way to show that the this happens when you buy. But a really cool thing is that they showed the claims and the pewrsuasive techniques in just pictures in a funny way. This advertisement will be best to entertain kids and all the other people that like to have chocolate or other flavors and people that like ice cream.

 I saw a Coke a Cola advertisement showing a dog so tired sitting down in the park. But once it finds a Coke a Cola bottle, it drinks it and gets so much energy that it dances for the song "Black-Eyed Peas," becaus ethat was the song they put for the super-bowl night with the Steelers vs. Packers. I thought this advertisement was really funny because when you find a really tired dog in the park, you give it water to drink. But when it drank the Coke a Cola, it started danceing forever. So I found this advertisement one of the funniest advertisements there. It was really awesome!

My Career Job Experience

With all the months of the career unit thing, I have learned alot. From everything we have done in this class about the career unit thing, I will use the things that I learned now for when I will really go for getting a job when I am older. This helped me have an experience of how hard it is, how many steps there are to do this, and now I will not struggle about the things I need to do in my future career life. This was also a fun opportunity that we can learn and discuss to our friends about the career unit. In this career unit, what I disliked was the searching that we mostly needed to do on google if we didn't have the information that we are supposed have on the website that we were looking on. But there were a lot of things that I liked about the career unit thing. I really liked the way that we were acting like we were older people and that we were going to a real interview with a real COLLEGE APPLICATION ESSAY, LETTER of RECOMMENDATION, and real RESUME. I really enjoyed all the things that we did and this was on of the most fun things I have done in the whole 6th Grade time of the Year!!!

My Career Essay

Everyone has an issue, and I have one of my own, and even when you hear it the first time, you will think that I have a problem with me. But I don’t. When I was in the age of going to middle school I started getting the problem of asking too many questions. My teachers usually say that I don’t have confidence in myself. So every day, my teacher was limiting me with 2 questions a day. Each day I do my best of limiting my questions. I always have this issue as a personal issue of myself. When I get a job I don’t want everyone to think that I have a problem with me so that is why I am just letting everyone know. I don’t want anyone to not hire me for a job because of what my weakness is. All this weakness is, is that I want to makes sure if I am right or wrong. This will not be a big impact on me because this is only a minor issue/weakness that can be fixed in no time.

SAT- Technology

When people use computers it makes people not learn and learn. Computers are something that are very important to people in different ways. Good and Bad. When people use computers they get smart. Computers can teach us a lot of things. When we use computers we can go on websites that help us learn a type of subject. Like, for example: The students are using the computer, and they don't get what to do in a type of thing in english. They don't know what to do in english. They can go on google, to find any websites that they can learn more about the adjectives so they can get a better grade on the week's grammar quiz. But other reasons that using computers are bad bacouse, people don't just use the computer for studies. They use it to do stuff that are not so good, such as; (play games, chat, do facebook, twitter etc.). Doing this is going to spoil the peoples brain. When I say that, I mean that the people are still going to think about it so when they study for a test, and the next day they do a test, guess what is going to happen?! They won't think about the right answer and they will think about the games. When they do that, they might fail the test.
  So make sure you use the computer wisely!

Hi Ms.Carroll! Welcome to my Class!

This week a new teacher came to my english class and is ataying here till May. She needs to know about everyone and what they like and their personality. This teacher is a helpful teacher to Mrs.Patalano because since there is two teachers it will be easier to take care of the students and help them with problems that they have with what is going on in the class. Since Ms.Carroll needs to know about me, I will introduce myself and about somethings of my class.

Things about ME-My name is Sai, I came from Washington Elementary School, In my free time I like to play games and read books, the fun things about middle school is the the passing because in elementary school, you sit in one place doing all the things there. Things I like about english is reading because I read everyday and instead of reading for nothing I read as homework and writing is the most worse thing about english. I do not like writing. I think you should know hoe I look so you know who I am.

Things about my CLASS-My class(including me sometimes) people don't give in reports or projects much. They don't give stuff in like typed up sheets the most. Students do their homework and are really nice in the classroom when the teacher is there.

So I hope Ms.Carroll learns a lot of things about me!!!

My Career will be...

I have always been thinking about what I want to be for when I be older as my career. I have mostly been thinking of being a doctor. In all my childhood times, I like to play with things that are like slimy and sticky and things like that. But the only doctor type of job that will suit me is a surgeon. And what type of surgeon? A Brain Surgeon! Yeah thats what I want to be. Since I was a little boy my friends and I always do games like acting a game of what we want to be in the future when we grow older. I always in my free time and I can't play games, I think about what I want to be.

Even when I asked my dad what he thinks I should be, he says doctor. I am not very sure about staying in New Jersey after sixth grade because I might go to India for my studies. I think I should go to India to because India is complicated. And when I mean by complicated, I mean that in India they give us more work and it is easier to get a doctor decree than U.S.A. Here we have to stay for a doctor degree in like college or something, for about four to five years. And in India it is only about two or three years and I can be doctor. My parents said that if I can get a doctor degree and work for a doctor for like a whole year, I might get leveled up and I can be a doctor in India. If I am a doctor in India it will be easier to be doctor here, because I was already a doctor there, so they might let me because I will have the experience of bieng a doctor so I will know what it is like to be doctor.

I just hope that in India, when I go for my interview for the future time, I don't get anything wrong. Because if I do, it won't be a good look if some other random guy just takes the job that was once known for me, so I have to study and be ready so I don't fail the interview for my most favorite job. If I do, I won't be able to go to the interview of the same job(cry and sadness about future)!

Everyone has a resolution, and my resolution for New Year is not to play video games much so I can be better at other things. If I stop playing video games, I have time to play with my baby brother and sister and spend some time with them. If I stop playing video games get ready for school I will be prepared for the things that I will learn on the next day or the day after the weekend is over. I also wear glasses, so I should make sure my eyes don’t get affected because of the games and I don’t want to wear those big and ugly glasses that people have to wear if they don’t have very good eye sight. In order to stop playing video games all the time, I will have a time limit for how long I should play for a day so I have time to do all the other things that I can do that will help me improve. I think the resolutions that  I have will help me improve in life better and easier.
